Operation E-Smile
Posted Feb 23, 2008
The active dynamism, creativity and sense of social responsibility of JCI Mandaue have truly made a big difference in those lives that this organization has touched. I am honored and truly proud to be part of something great, such as painting a smile in the faces of those who cannot.
Last December 7 and 8, 2007, JCI Mandaue with E-telecare and the Mandaue City Local Government, hand in hand organized Operation E-smiles at the Mandaue City Hospital where over 50 surgeries for E-smiles were held.
This project was made possible by our team of doctors led by our very own JCI Mandaue President Dr. Alaine Senerpida with the able assistance of several generous and proactive sponsors and volunteers whose good intentions were priceless and have procured the success of this project.
As the saying goes, “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight”; the results of this project inspired us all to take it to the next level and be more of service to those who are in need, that after three successful years providing free cleft-lip surgeries, the JCI Mandaue Chapter together with sister chapter, JCI Ilang-Ilang to bring Operation E-Smiles to Iloilo this year.
Truly, I look forward to another exciting year with the Jaycees as we continue to create and inspire a difference in people’s lives.
